Be sure to complete assignments in order according to the class website and remember Google Classroom may not be in your order.

On the front of the folded blank side draw a picture of what comes to your mind from this chapter. On the side of the index card with lines write a single paragraph with a topic sentence, at least 3 supporting detail sentences, and a concluding sentence to summarize the events that happened in this chapter.

  1. Multiply Decimals Lesson: Introductory lesson into multiplying two decimals. This lesson will be in-person on Monday for Cohort A and Tuesday for Cohort B. Distance Learners will watch a video of this lesson on Tuesday.

  1. Lion King Ecosystem:  Watch Lion Clips 1-3 and fill out the corresponding questions on your Ecology Movie Guide, numbers 1-26. 

  2. McGraw Hill/Inspire:  Through Clever, log onto McGraw Hill/Inspire Science and complete the 2 assigned reading lessons titled, “Read About: Ecosystems & Habitats” and “Close Read: Invasive Species.” Be sure to read the passages and answer all of the questions.

  3. Lion KIng Ecosystem:  Watch Lion Clips 4-8 and fill out the corresponding questions on your Ecology Movie Guide, numbers 27-45. 

  4. Food Chains & Food Webs:  Read the passage about food chains and food webs and then answer the questions based on your reading.

  1. Explorers Project: Students will begin working on their explorers project. These projects will be completed in class for Cohort students and at home for Distance Learners. Distance learners will get a tutorial in the Zoom on Monday at 2:15 on how to complete these projects. 
     

  2. Studies Weekly Week 8 - Exploration II: Log in to Studies Weekly using your Clever account.  Read or listen to all of the articles. Answer the questions at the end of each article. You do NOT have to do the Think & Review or the Let’s write.
    Articles Include:
    Drake the Savage Sea Dog
    A Neanderthal’s Best Friend
    Early French and English Explorers: Who Went Where, When and How
    Is Today Tomorrow or Yesterday?
    Tools of the Navigating Trade
     

  3. Studies Weekly Week 8 Test - Exploration II:  Log in to Studies Weekly using your Clever account. Read and answer each question carefully. I recommend having the paper version out and finding and highlighting the answer on that before marking any answers on the quiz.  It could also work to have two tabs open as you take the test.  One tab will be the articles for you to refer to, the other with the test. Make sure you read each question carefully!
