Also, use the classwork tab in Google Classroom, your planner, and the class website to keep up with what you have to do and what you have completed. Be sure to complete assignments in order according to the class website and remember Google Classroom may not be in your order.

  1. iReady Reading: This is NOT optional.  Through Clever, log into iReady. Click on Reading and then click start. You should do 45 minutes of iReady. I will be checking.

  2. Independent Reading/AR: This is NOT optional. You should spend at least 30 minutes reading a book of your choice. You may read paper copies of books or you can find books on Epic.  When you complete your book, you need to take an AR test on the book.  AR tests are taken by logging onto Clever and then go to Renaissance. Find your book and take the test.

  3. Just Write Lesson 7: In the Just Write Book you will complete Lesson 7. Be sure to read ALL instructions, passages, text boxes, and questions carefully.

  4. Informative Writing Unit Lesson 7: In the packet that accompanies the Just Write book, complete Lesson 7.

  5. BOTR Ch. 1 & Ch. 2 Summary & Illustration: Re-read chapters 1 & 2 in Blood on the River. Write a summary about the chapters and draw a picture that illustrates the main image that came to your mind when reading chapters 1 and 2.

  6. BOTR Ch. 3, 4, & 5 Summary & Illustration: Re-read chapters 3, 4, & 5 in Blood on the River. Write a summary about the chapters and draw a picture that illustrates the main image that came to your mind when reading chapters 3, 4, & 5.

  1. MobyMax Fact Fluency: You need to do at least 30 minutes of multiplication fact fluency practice (even if you have mastered all of your facts). 

  2. Divide Decimals by Whole Numbers: This is an introductory lesson about dividing decimals by whole numbers.

  3. My Math Pages 445-446: You MUST SHOW YOUR WORK on a piece of notebook paper and answer the question on the worksheet. If you do not show your work, your assignment will not be graded.

  1. Studies Weekly Week 12 - Early Colonization & Trade: Log in to Studies Weekly using your Clever account.  Read or listen to all of the articles. Answer the questions at the end of each article. You do NOT have to do the Think & Review or the Let’s write.

    Articles Include:

    St. Croix Island for the French - for a while!
    A Game for the Centuries
    Dueling Charters!
    Seven Year for New Sweden
    Fur Trade and the American Indians
    Cultures and Customs

  2. Early English Colonies Lesson/Video: Cohort A has already gotten this instruction.  Cohort B will get this lesson in-person on Friday. Videos will be available for Distance learners on Friday.    

  3. Studies Weekly Week 12 Test - Early Colonization & Trade:  Log in to Studies Weekly using your Clever account. Read and answer each question carefully. I recommend having the paper version out and finding and highlighting the answer on that before marking any answers on the quiz.  It could also work to have two tabs open as you take the test.  One tab will be the articles for you to refer to, the other with the test. Make sure you read each question carefully!
