Refresh the class website & Google Classroom every time you get on. Also, use the classwork tab in Google Classroom, your planner, and the class website to keep up with what you have to do and what you have completed. Be sure to complete assignments in order according to the class website and remember Google Classroom may not be in your order.

  1. Read the Prologue in Rush Revere: Read the Prologue in Rush Revere and the First Patriots. If you are using Audible you need to also be sure that you are following along in your Rush Revere book.

  2. Rush Revere Prologue Questions: Using the book and online resources as needed answer the questions for the Rush Revere Prologue. Be sure to define your vocabulary words after the questions, on the same Google Doc. 

  3. Read Rush Revere Chapter 1: Read Chapter 1 in Rush Revere and the First Patriots. If you are using Audible you need to also be sure that you are following along in your Rush Revere book.

  4. Rush Revere Chapter 1 Questions: Using the book and online resources as needed answer the questions for Rush Revere Chapter 1. Be sure to define your vocabulary words after the questions, on the same Google Doc. 

  5. Type Opinion Writing Essay: Go to Google Classroom/Burkhart ELA. Using your Opinion Writing Graphic Organizer, Introduction (Lesson 2), Body Paragraphs (Lesson 9) and Conclusion (Lesson10)  that you completed last week you will type your 5 paragraph opinion essay. Be sure that you are writing complete sentences, and adding transition words. Make sure to check your spelling and grammar. 

  6. Commas (Tag Questions) Lesson: This will be an in-person lesson that will be recorded on Thursday morning. It will be available for distance learners by 10:30. Also, watch the linked video from Learnzillion to learn about comma use to set off a tag question.

  7. Using Commas to Set off Words Boom Cards: Go to Boom Cards, select Sign in with Google (be sure you are using your Sequoia Union Google.) Complete the assigned deck called “Using Commas to Set off Words”.

  1. Adding Mixed Numbers Lesson: This is a lesson about Adding Mixed Numbers with unlike denominators. This lesson will be recorded with in-person students on Monday and will be available for you Monday by 11:30am. 

  2. My Math Adding Mixed Numbers pages 679-680: You MUST SHOW YOUR WORK on a piece of notebook paper and upload a picture of where you have shown your math. Then, using Kami answer the question on the worksheet. If you do not show your work, your assignment will not be graded.

  5. iReady Math: This is NOT optional.  Through Clever, log into iReady. Complete 30 minutes of your customized math lessons at your level.

  6. Subtract Mixed Numbers Lesson: This is a lesson about subtracting mixed numbers. This lesson will be recorded with in-person students on Thursday and will be available for you Thursday by 11:30am.

  1. Earth’s Spheres Walkabout: Through Google Classroom, the cards will be posted online for you. Using Kami, fill out the handout provided.

  2. Earth’s Spheres Quiz: Through Google Classroom, use Kami to complete the quiz using your knowledge of the Earth’s Spheres.

  3. BrainPop: Humans and the Environment: Through Clever, log onto BrainPop. Watch the assigned video titled, “Humans and the Environment.” Then, complete the quiz based on what you learned about in the video.

  4. Human Impact Videos & Flippable: Watch the videos that are assigned to you through Discovery Education. You need to log on through Clever, and then click Discovery Education. The videos will show up in your assignments. You also need to use the key to fill in your flippable and then construct accordingly.

  1. Studies Weekly Week 15 - Southern Colonies: Log in to Studies Weekly using your Clever account.  Read or listen to all of the articles. Answer the questions at the end of each article. You do NOT have to do the Think & Review or the Let’s write.

  2. Studies Weekly Week 15 Test - Southern Colonies:  Log in to Studies Weekly using your Clever account. Read and answer each question carefully. I recommend having the paper version out and finding and highlighting the answer on that before marking any answers on the quiz.  It could also work to have two tabs open as you take the test.  One tab will be the articles for you to refer to, the other with the test. Make sure you read each question carefully!
