  1. Paragraph Lesson: Introductory lesson to writing good paragraphs. 

  2. Paragraph Writing Sample: On a piece of notebook paper, write a 5 sentence paragraph about your best day ever and a second 5 sentence paragraph about your worst day ever. 

  3. BrainPop Jr. Paragraphs Video/Quiz: Through Clever, log onto BrainPop Jr. and watch the assigned video about paragraphs.  In addition, you will complete the “hard quiz” that has also been assigned.

  4. A Perfectly Packed Paragraph: Follow the prompts on the handout and be sure to write neatly so your teacher can read your writing. If you need more space on this assignment, use a piece of notebook paper and attach it to the back of this assignment.

  5. NearPod Paragraphs: First go to Nearpod, enter the code YG6XU under where it says Students Join a Lesson. Click “join” after you have entered the code.

  6. Paragraph Lesson/Activity: Follow up lesson/activity on writing paragraphs.

  7. Don’t Forget the Details: Follow the prompts on the handout and be sure to write neatly so your teacher can read your writing.  If you need more space on this assignment, use a piece of notebook paper and attach it to the back of this assignment.

  8. Spelling City Activities: Complete the Spelling City activities in the order they are listed. 

  9. Spelling City Test: Complete the Spelling Test on Spelling City.

  10. iReady Reading: This is NOT optional.  Through Clever, log into iReady. Click on Reading and then click start.

  11. Independent Reading/AR: This is NOT optional. You should spend at least 30 minutes reading a book of your choice. You may read paper copies of books or you can find books on Epic.  When you complete your book, you need to take an AR test on the book.  AR tests are taken by logging onto Clever and then go to Renaissance. Find your book and take the test.  

MATH (Complete Assignments in Order)

  1. Patterns/Powers of Ten Lesson: Introductory lesson into multiplication/patterns with powers of 10.

  2. Multiplying Whole Numbers with Powers of Ten: Answer each question using the appropriate strategies. It may not be necessary to show work on this assignment.

  3. Multiplication Patterns: Answer each question using the appropriate strategies. It may not be necessary to show work on this assignment.

  4. Losta Math Practice Mixed Review: Answer each question using the appropriate strategies. You will be turning in the paper version, but if you are stuck I have posted a digital copy with linked “help” videos on Google Classroom.

  5. Multiplication with 1-Digit Multipliers Lesson: Introductory lesson into multiplication with a 1-Digit multipliers.

  6. Multiplication with 1-Digit Multipliers Day 1: You MUST show your work on this assignment. Be sure to circle your answers. 

  7. Khan Academy Video: First, go to Clever and click on Khan Academy. Next, click on “Login in with your existing account”, then “Continue with Google”. Your assignments will show up on the left side. If they don't show up right away, click refresh to reload the page and they should be there. Watch the assigned video.

  8. Multiplication with 1-Digit Multipliers Day 2: You MUST show your work on this assignment. Be sure to circle your answers.

  1. Routines, Policies, & Procedures:  Practice and learn about our classroom routines, policies, and procedures.

  2. BrainPop Plant Growth Video/Quiz:  Log onto Clever, and select BrainPop. Once on BrainPop complete the assigned video and quiz.

  3. BrainPop Photosynthesis Video/Quiz:  Log onto Clever, and select BrainPop. Once on BrainPop complete the assigned video and quiz.

  4. Plant Growth & Photosynthesis Lesson:  Review/Recap lesson about plant growth and photosynthesis. 

  5. Photosynthesis Journal:  Cut out the pieces and assemble matching what the picture shows. Write definitions that go under each of the flaps.

HISTORY (Complete Assignments in Order)

  1. Routines, Policies, & Procedures:  Practice and learn about our classroom routines, policies, and procedures.

  2. Studies Weekly Week 6 - Age of Discovery: Log in to Studies Weekly using your Clever account.  Read or listen to all of the articles. Answer the questions at the end of each article. You do NOT have to do the Think & Review or the Let’s write.

    Articles Include:

    Worth Their Weight in Gold
    Clarity of Expression: Henry Hudson
    Explorers of the New World
     

  3. Explorers Lesson:  Introductory/Recap Lesson on Early Explorers.

  4. Studies Weekly Week 6 Test - Age of Discovery:  Log in to Studies Weekly using your Clever account. Read and answer each question carefully. I recommend having the paper version out and finding and highlighting the answer on that before marking any answers on the quiz.  It could also work to have two tabs open as you take the test.  One tab will be the articles for you to refer to, the other with the test. Make sure you read each question carefully!
