ELA (Complete Assignments in Order)

  1. Read Sign of the Beaver (Chapters 13-15): Read chapters 13-15 in your Sign of the Beaver Book.  Be sure to read carefully, please do not read ahead.

  2. Sign of the Beaver (Chapters 13-15) Google Forms: Complete the Google Form on Google Classroom/ELA. You may look back in your book to find answers and you can also look up the definitions to words that you do not know. 

  3. Sentence and Sentence Fragments Video: Watch the assigned/linked video.

  4. Run on Sentences Video: Watch the assigned/linked video.

  5. Sentence, Fragment, & Run-on Notebook: Take out the page titled “Sentences, Fragments, and Run-ons from your notebook pages in your green folder.  Cut out the one piece, then cut slits on the dotted lines.  Put glue on the back behind only the words sentence, fragment, and run-ons.  Copy the definitions on the top, then underneath the flap copy the examples of each.  Use the pictures below to help. Add color. Take a picture of the completed page and upload it to the assignment in Google Classroom.

  9. Spelling City Activities: Complete the Spelling City activities in the order they are listed. Please do not use your spelling words when you are on Spelling City.  Activities need to be done by 3:30 on Friday. Please remember, you DO NOT log into spelling city with your Google Account.  Username are your first and last name with no spaces & no capital letters.  Passwords are your 4-digit lunch numbers, no zeros at the end.










     

  10. Spelling City Test: Complete the Spelling Test on Spelling City. This test needs to be done by 3:30 on Friday.

MATH (Complete Assignments in Order)

  1. Rounding Whole Numbers Video: Watch the assigned/linked video. 

  2. Rounding Whole Numbers Google Forms: Complete the Google Forms assignment on Google Classroom/Math.  You may use online resources to help you answer the questions. 

  3. Rounding Decimal Numbers Video: Watch the assigned/linked video. 

  4. Rounding Decimals Notebook Page: Cut out all of the pieces for the Rounding Decimals notebook pages. It is 2 pages. Cut out the pieces and round each number to the given place. Look at the picture below to help you. When it is complete, glue it into your notebook. Remember to take a picture and upload it to this assignment so that you can receive credit.










     

  5. Rounding Decimal Numbers Google Forms: Complete the Google Forms assignment on Google Classroom/Math.  You may use online resources to help you answer the questions. 

  6. Place Value Review on Nearpod: First go to Nearpod, enter the code LSGJD under where it says Students Join a Lesson. Click “join” after you have entered the code.

  7. Place Value Test on Socrative: This is a test, you should NOT use any resources or other people to help you answer these questions.  Go to Socrative.com and click “Login”, then “Student Login”.  When it asks for the room, type BURKHART13.  It will then begin your test.  Please take your time and use scratch paper to help you get your answers.

SCIENCE (Complete Assignments in Order)

Science assignments this week will be found primarily online through McGraw Hill.  Go to Clever, click on McGraw Hill, and then you will see Inspire Science on the top.  Click Launch.  Once it opens, you will find the list of activities to be done on this page for the week.  There are assignments on other sites this week as well, so be sure to read the directions carefully!

  1. Videos: Watch States of Matter and Changes of State - Science for Kids 

  2. Encounter the Phenomenon: What are the different forms in which matter can appear?: Complete the activity and questions through Clever/McGraw Hill / Inspire Science.

  3. Read About States of Matter: Complete the activity and questions through Clever/McGraw Hill / Inspire Science.

  4. States of Matter Sort Notebook Page: Take out the last two pages from your Science Interactive Notebook packet.  Add color to the pictures, then cut out the picture squares and sort them by their state of matter.  Glue the pieces in the correct column, then neatly glue this part into your notebook.  You may have to trim it in order for it to fit. Remember to take a picture and upload it to this assignment so that you can receive credit. 












     

  5. Read About Changing States of Matter: Complete the activity and questions through Clever/McGraw Hill / Inspire Science.

  6. States of Matter Boom Deck: Log onto Boom Cards and complete the assigned deck called “States of Matter.”

  7. Lesson Check: Solids, Liquids, and Gases: Complete the activity and questions through Clever/McGraw Hill / Inspire Science.

HISTORY (Complete Assignments in Order)

  1. Studies Weekly Week 4 - American Indians of the Great Plains: Log in to Studies Weekly using your Clever account.  Read or listen to all of the articles. Answer the questions at the end of each article. You do NOT have to do the Think & Review or the Let’s write.

    Articles Include:
    Wide Open Spaces!
    Pieces of the Past
    Ancient American Indians of the Great Plains
    Rock City
    Where the Bison Roam
    Primary & Secondary Source Sleuths
     

  2. American Indians of the Great Plains Notebook: Pull out the page titled “Native Americans of the Great Plains”.  As you read the articles in Studies Weekly, fill out all of the information you can about the Pacific Northwest Native Americans on the notebook page from your History Interactive Notebook packet. Notice you will only be using half of this page, the other half will be completed on a different week. Use the picture below to help you fill out the information. When it is complete, glue it into your notebook.  You may have to fold it in half in order for it to fit neatly. Remember to take a picture and upload it to this assignment so that you can receive credit.

  3. Comparing Native Cultures Notebook Page: Pull out the page titled “Comparing Native Cultures”. Cut out the 9 traits from the bottom of the page. Using your notebook pages, and what you have read in Studies Weekly, determine which Native American Culture each trait belongs to.  Glue the fact into the correct category. When it is complete, glue it into your notebook.  You may have to fold it in half in order for it to fit neatly. Remember to take a picture and upload it to this assignment so that you can receive credit.











     

  4. Studies Weekly Week 4 Test - American Indians of the Great Plains:  Log in to Studies Weekly using your Clever account. Read and answer each question carefully. I recommend having the paper version out and finding and highlighting the answer on that before marking any answers on the quiz.  It could also work to have two tabs open as you take the test.  One tab will be the articles for you to refer to, the other with the test. Make sure you read each question carefully!
