  1. Spelling City Activities: Complete the Spelling City activities in the order they are listed. 

  2. iReady Reading: This is NOT optional.  Through Clever, log into iReady. Click on Reading and then click start.

  3. Independent Reading/AR: This is NOT optional. You should spend at least 30 minutes reading a book of your choice. You may read paper copies of books or you can find books on Epic.  When you complete your book, you need to take an AR test on the book.  AR tests are taken by logging onto Clever and then go to Renaissance. Find your book and take the test.  

  4. Paragraph Video: Introductory lesson to writing good paragraphs. 

  5. Paragraph Writing Sample: On a piece of notebook paper, write a 5 sentence paragraph about your best day ever and a second 5 sentence paragraph about your worst day ever. 

  6. NearPod Paragraphs: First go to Nearpod, enter the code YG6XU under where it says Students Join a Lesson. Click “join” after you have entered the code.

  7. BrainPop Jr. Paragraphs Video/Quiz: Through Clever, log onto BrainPop Jr. and watch the assigned video about paragraphs.  In addition, you will complete the “hard quiz” that has also been assigned.

  8. A Perfectly Packed Paragraph: Follow the prompts on the handout and be sure to write neatly so your teacher can read your writing. If you need more space on this assignment, use a piece of notebook paper and attach it to the back of this assignment.

  10. Spelling City Test: Complete the Spelling Test on Spelling City.

MATH (Complete Assignments in Order)

  1. iReady Math: This is NOT optional.  Through Clever, log into iReady. Click on Math and then click start. 

  2. Moby Max Fluency: This is NOT optional. Through Clever, log into Moby Max and select Fact Fluency. You need to do 30 minutes of fact fluency.

  3. Patterns/Powers of Ten Video: Introductory lesson into multiplication/patterns with powers of 10.

  4. Multiplying Whole Numbers with Powers of Ten: Answer each question using the appropriate strategies. It may not be necessary to show work on this assignment.

  5. Losta Math Practice Mixed Review: Answer each question using the appropriate strategies. You will be turning in the paper version, but if you are stuck I have posted a digital copy with linked “help” videos on Google Classroom.

  6. Multiplication Patterns: Answer each question using the appropriate strategies. It may not be necessary to show work on this assignment.

  7. Multiplication with 1-Digit Multipliers Video: Introductory lesson into multiplication with a 1-Digit multipliers.

  8. Multiplication with 1-Digit Multipliers Day 1: You MUST show your work on this assignment. Be sure to circle your answers.

SCIENCE (Complete Assignments in Order)

  1. Photosynthesis on Study.Com:  Log on to Study.Com using the link that is posted in Google Classroom. Watch the video and complete the quiz.

  2. BrainPop Plant Growth Video/Quiz:  Log onto Clever, and select BrainPop. Once on BrainPop complete the assigned video and quiz.

  3. BrainPop Photosynthesis Video/Quiz:  Log onto Clever, and select BrainPop. Once on BrainPop complete the assigned video and quiz.

  4. Photosynthesis Journal:  Cut out the pieces and assemble matching what the picture shows. Write definitions that go under each of the flaps.







     

  5. Plant Growth & Photosynthesis Video:  Review/Recap lesson about plant growth and photosynthesis.

HISTORY (Complete Assignments in Order)

  1. Studies Weekly Week 6 - Age of Discovery: Log in to Studies Weekly using your Clever account.  Read or listen to all of the articles. Answer the questions at the end of each article. You do NOT have to do the Think & Review or the Let’s write.
    Articles Include:
    How it all Began in the “New World”
    The Age of Discovery
    Worth Their Weight in Gold
    Clarity of Expression: Henry Hudson
    Explorers of the New World

  2. Studies Weekly Week 6 Test - Age of Discovery:  Log in to Studies Weekly using your Clever account. Read and answer each question carefully. I recommend having the paper version out and finding and highlighting the answer on that before marking any answers on the quiz.  It could also work to have two tabs open as you take the test.  One tab will be the articles for you to refer to, the other with the test. Make sure you read each question carefully!

  3. Explorers Video:  Video on Early Explorers.
